Common questions
How long does trust registration take?
Drafting takes 5–7 working days. Master’s Office registration typically takes 2–4 weeks after lodgement, depending on their queue.
What is beneficial ownership filing?
Since 2023, the Master’s Office requires disclosure of all beneficial owners of a trust. We file the BO forms and maintain a compliance register for you.
Can a family member be the only trustee?
Yes, but we recommend at least one independent trustee for asset protection and to avoid alter-ego claims. We can serve as independent trustee if required.
Do I need a separate trust for each property?
Usually not. A single family trust can hold multiple assets. We assess concentration risk and advise on the optimal structure during consultation.
